If you've been blogging for a while and have yet to earn your first $100 from Adsense, this might interest you. This is a goal that every blogger strives to achieve fast. This article is an interview I had with one of the best bloggers I have met. The chat was long but I summarised each core topic in the case study for a quick understanding of his ideas.

let's talk money

Google AdSense is the most popular advertising platform. It is an excellent platform for both publishers and advertisers to earn money and promote their products. Therefore, most bloggers prefer Adsense to make money online.

Some websites generate thousands, if not millions, of dollars. Some people are struggling to make their first $100. Is it really that difficult to make your first $100 from AdSense?

Is it difficult to come up with $100?

Actually, if you follow the steps correctly, it is very simple to earn your first $100 with AdSense. Yes, it will take some time, but with proper planning, you can reach your $100 goal quickly.

Earn 100 dollars a day

You've already gotten through the hard part. So far, you've done everything correctly, and Google has rewarded you by approving your AdSense account. It is now time for you to earn money with AdSense!

To be honest, there is no set time when you will make your first $100. It all comes down to the number of daily website visitors you have. For some bloggers, reaching that milestone may take longer than a year.

However, if you know how to do it correctly, you can complete it in two months. There are many factors that influence your AdSense earnings. Let's decode those variables and do the math...

My Very First $100 from AdSense

It took me 8 months to reach this milestone and finally receive my Google check. I've worked so hard for it, and I'm hoping to get my first $100 from Google as soon as possible. However, I made a mistake along the way, and it took me 8 months to finally reach that milestone.

In 2013, I began blogging. In 2014, my first website was approved for AdSense. My website had 80 posts and over 140 pages. I expected those 80 posts to generate a lot of traffic, but the overall website traffic was very low.

I was extremely frustrated and on the verge of giving up. I knew very little about Adsense and blogging. I did not know what a profitable niche was or how to make more money through SEO and keywords. I had some fantastic articles with over 1000 words, but no website visitors.

Thank goodness I didn't give up at that point. There was no resource that could tell me how to make more money with AdSense or affiliate marketing. I conducted my own research and dug deeper to discover why I wasn't making enough money with my website.

The issue was that my website was receiving very little traffic. My page RPM was very low, making it difficult for me to make money with AdSense.

I wanted to make $100 every day so that by the end of the month, I would have at least $3000. Obviously, everyone's definition of a full-time income will differ. However, if you can earn $100 per day, you are off to a good start.

How to Make $100 Using AdSense

Every day, I see forum threads from people who want to learn how to make $100 per day with Adsense. What they don't realize is that there are many factors that go into earning $100 per day. Website traffic is the most important factor. To reach the $100 mark, you must have enough traffic.

Getting your first $100 is simple, but making $100 every day is a difficult task. To finally reach a milestone like that, a lot of work must be done.

So, how much traffic do you really require to reach $100?

Page RPM is the most important metric that influences your income. To truly understand your Adsense income for your website, you must calculate RPM.

What exactly is page RPM?

Page RPM = (Estimated earnings / Page Views) * 1000

It is determined by a combination of your traffic's CTR (click-through rate) and CPC (cost per click).

Recognizing RPM

RPM is an abbreviation for "Revenue per Mille" (Mille means thousand in Latin). So, your website page RPM is an estimate of how much money you can make by serving a thousand page views to your website visitors. The calculation is straightforward and simple. It is calculated by dividing your projected earnings by the number of page views and multiplying by 1000.

If you got $10 from 1000 page views, for example, your RPM would be ($10 / 1000) * 1000, or $10.

Consider another calculation: if you earned an estimated $25 from 500 page views, your RPM would be ($25 / 500) * 1000, or $50.

The average RPM with Adsense is around $3 to $5 for broad niches and up to $100 for more competitive niches with high CPC.

RPM Calculation

Your RPM will be visible in your AdSense dashboard. You can accurately estimate earnings potentials for higher traffic numbers, as well as the amount of traffic you'll need to make your first $100 if you get to know your RPM.

Assume you're earning an average of $5 per RPM from one of your websites. That works out to $5 for every 1000 page view on your website. To reach your threshold, you will need at least 20000 website visitors or page views. This is only a rough estimate. As RPM fluctuates, your income could be higher or lower.

What is the typical page RPM?

The average AdSense RPM varies by niche, website quality, traffic volume, and the number of advertisers on the AdWords platform.

On the low end, it is usually between $1 and $5. On the medium end, it can sometimes range from $5 to $10. On the higher end, that can reach $50 or more.

How much traffic is required to earn $100?

It's just a game of numbers. To better understand your requirement, let's break down the numbers even further with some example metrics.

We'll try to use figures that are as close to average as possible. We'll use a $1 cost per click (CPC) and a 2% click-through rate in this example (CTR). So, how much traffic will you need to generate in order to earn $100 per day using those figures?

First, we must determine how many clicks equal $100.

100 / 1 equals 100 clicks.

If we require 100 clicks at a CTR of 5%, the total traffic must be... 100 / 0.02 = 5,000.

So, in order to reach your $100 goal, you'll need nearly 5000 visitors or page views. Isn't it simple? This is simply an estimate based on the lowest possible numbers. Your total income could even be greater.

Once your AdSense account is approved, it is easy to earn your first $100. To reach your full potential, you will need to know your numbers and simply try to be consistent while building more posts. You might even earn more than $100 per day.
